Pavel Popescu is the Chairman of the Committee for Defense, Public Order and National Security in the Chamber of Deputies of Romania. In 2020, he was reelected as Member of Parliament representing the National Liberal Party and began his second term.
He is a member of the Committee for Information Technologies and Communications, a member of the Delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly and Vice president of the National Liberal Party.
From his positions, he has drafted and passed Romania`s key 5G, Foreign Direct Investment and National Cybersecurity Legislation.
